Juicy June 2012

Summertime is all about COLOR! Bright, saturated colors are inspired by the fruits of the season. Watermelon, mango, pineapple and lime are "hot" colors this June to use inside and outside your home. These juicy colors are fun to use on throw pillows, table toppers, table decor and decorative accessories.

Fabrics with patterns such as ikat and ethnic prints are very trendy and easy to use as throw pillows. Pillows can be an affordable way to change the look of your decor for the summer. Also, use these fabrics or a roll of bright fabric mesh as table toppers or runners to add a splash of color to your outdoor entertaining. When everyone is cooking out and having parties give your table scape a fresh touch with a twist of colorful place mats, chargers, napkins and dishes.

Decorative accessories can also be rotated with everyday items to renew your homes spirit. Candles, flower arrangements and vases can be found in all of the summer brights. Even a bowl or basket filled with colorful glass balls adds an unexpected touch of whimsy. Check out all of these trends and many more beautiful items for your home decor at Bella Interiors.

Memory Blocks

Looking for a special and unique gift for someone, perhaps a wedding, anniversary or birthday gift? Come to Bella Interiors and see our Sid Dickens Memory Blocks. Bella Interiors is the exclusive retailer in this and the surrounding area that sells the tiles. A Sid Dickens Memory Block is a piece of artwork that is a hand- crafted plaster tile that represents history in a very whimsical modern way.

The artist, Sid Dickens is from Vancouver, Canada and has traveled the world over gathering mementos from his journeys. After receiving inspiration during his many travels he wanted to capture his memories of bookstores, museums, and historical architecture from around the world in a beautiful art form. Each tile has an artistic image on the front while the back depicts a unique quote or meaning to accompany the artwork. Some tiles are finished to a porcelain - like quality, while others have a cracked weathered stone look.

You can start with a single tile or build a collection according to your budget. This is a very affordable way to decorate with hand-crafted original artwork at a starting price far below that of prints or paintings. These tiles can be grouped in a variety of arrangements according to subject matter, color, or space to convey your own style. Each season new tiles are introduced into the collection while others are retired. This formulates an ever changing and fresh collection while the retired tiles increase in value and desirability. Give that special someone something unique that they can enjoy and add to over time. Help them start their own personal collection with Sid Dickens Memory Blocks from Bella Interiors!

Decorating your Door for Every Season

After the holidays when all of the colorful decorations come down, the outside of our homes look like they are missing that special touch. Here in the South we want that eye catching curb appeal year round. Bridging the gap between seasons with decor around the front door is easier than you might imagine. Using a simple grapevine as the unchanging constant, you can add or take away fabric and decor to compliment any season or event.
Whether it's Valentines, Mardi Gras, Easter, or a Spring or Summer theme, these are all great opportunities to add color and possibly a little whimsy to your homes exterior. For Valentines you could add colorful mesh fabric or ribbon and even carry over some of the gold, silver and red ornaments from Christmas. At Bella Interiors you will find an array of floral items and greenery that could be used for an Easter or Spring burst of color as well as rolls of fabric mesh in all colors and textures. Think big and bold and use fewer items for the most impact. Use your imagination and creativity or let one of the designers at Bella decorate for you!

In home interiors the Master Bath has become larger, more luxurious and more of a main focus of our environment than ever before. We all want to be able to enjoy a spa like experience in our homes after a long day at work or play. Larger bathrooms, larger showers and a multitude of amenities such as rain showers, steam showers, and multiple shower heads, as well as, TVs and integrated sound systems have become the norm compared to the small bath with the built in shower or garden tub of the past.

This month of Valentines celebrations come visit Bella Interiors and pamper yourself or your significant other with products from Bella-Loo, our signature bath store. Bella offers many plush but affordable products to complete your bath. From absorbent and super soft bamboo towels and bath mats , to designer shower curtains and rods Bella - Loo has it all. What is more comforting, warm and romantic than a candle lit aromatic bubble bath? The wonderful aroma of scented candles, the added texture and fragrance of bath salts and effervescence and afterward the smoothing feeling of skin softening lotions are everything you need to complete your relaxing retreat. We even have gift sets already beautifully packaged for your loved one complete with soap, bath salts and slippers. If It's Beautiful, It's BELLA!

Go "Green" to Defeat the Winter "Blues"

During the long winter months when nothing "green" is in sight we often suffer from the wintertime "blues". This lull in activities after the rush of Christmas and before the much anticipated colors of Spring produces a feeling of the dull-drums and a longing for the outdoors. So why not bring the outdoors "in"? This is the perfect time to spruce up your tired flower arrangements and greenery or arrange some new creations to give your home a splash of color and life.

At Bella Interiors, flower arrangements are created and sold as key components to the finishing touch in your homes accessories. Artificial flowers and plants have come a very long way in quality and variety from the past. They look more realistic and are offered in a beautiful array of vibrant colors. There is also no limit to the size, style and shape of the containers available to create your arrangement in.

Don't let flower arranging intimidate you. Select the container you need for your space . Think about height and mass. Will your arrangement be an eye-catching dramatic focal point that makes a statement? Or will it be just an accent that will compliment but not compete with what is around it? Next, think about color. Choose between a splash of accent color or all neutral greens, cream and white. Your main flower is the one you want to showcase - everything else around it is just filler to compliment it and add fullness to your arrangement.
Selecting odd numbers of each stem creates the best balance. Gather a variety of materials. Stems with leaves are good fillers and stems that create movement such as straight, tall sticks or curly willow add interest. Even using feathers adds another dimension if you choose.

If flower arranging is not your cup of tea, come to Bella Interiors, bring your favorite container and we will be glad to create for you. Or select from our many beautiful vases and point out which flowers and materials appeal to you and our designers will be happy to chase away your winter blues. When your beautiful, colorful work of art is complete it will bring a burst of life and breath of fresh air to your cold interiors this winter. It may even make you smile!

Scents Can "Spice" Up Your Life

Isn't it amazing how the simple act of smelling a certain scent can evoke detailed feelings, emotions or memories of a certain time or event in your life? During the holiday season this phenomenon especially rings true. The smell of the wonderful homemade holiday treats, traditional Thanksgiving dinners, and the fresh evergreen scent of the Christmas tree can fill the air with memories of past, present, and future. We dont even have to spend hours baking cookies or cutting down a tree to enjoy these special aromas.

Bringing these scents into your life all year round is easier than ever before with the growing trend in fragrances for your home. A multitude of fragrances in different forms is available in candles, sprays, diffusers, soaps, and lotions. The variety and options as well as quality is endless! Bella Interiors is showcasing an Evergreen home fragrance spray, and cinnamon scented star shaped candles for the holidays. Several everyday favorites are citrus soap and diffusers that smell very fresh and clean, as well as Linen, Cashmere and Birch candles for a more perfumed scent. Keep the memories alive and well year round by " spicing up your life" with scents from Bella Interiors!
